As proof, The Economist has spent years updating its Big Mac Index, which uses the local price of the McD delicacy to estimate the purchasing power of consumers in about 120 countries. Recently, UBS cooked up its own twist on the index, calculating how many minutes the average person would need to work at their job in order to earn that precious, precious Big Mac.

Danke, auch an dieser Stelle an alle*, die auf der ersten Socialbar in Hannover waren. Besonderer Dank gilt @jannesr für seinen Vortrag (siehe Prezi-Präsentation) über den Hub Berlin.
Ich finde die Idee der Co-Working Locations generell spannend und denke, dass man sowas auch mal in Hannover aufziehen könnte. Ich würde Abends lieber in einer Co-Working Location sitzen, als “alleine” zu Hause vor dem Mac. Fraglich ist, wie viele Freelancer und andere Leute es in Hannover gibt, die bei sowas dabei wären und/oder eine Co-Working Location nutzen würden.
Zu nächsten Socialbar Hannover: Ich würde mich freuen, wenn sich noch jemand für die Orga finden würde, am besten aus dem Umfeld der NGOs. Wenn sich für den nächsten Termin (angepeilt ist der 15.10.2009) genug Teilnehmer finden lassen und auch Vortragende, könnten wir vom Cheers in das Expo Café in der City umziehen ;) @jannesr: Wäre dann ähnlich nett, wie im Taz Café ;)
